Joining hands with the states and the central governments
We work in partnership
With the state governments and are instrumental in the successful implementation of public schemes and programs, which is its key mandate, through proper channelisation of funds allocated to governments, banks, corporate sector, and other philanthropic foundations.
BRLF was primarily established to leverage a new model of cooperation between the state governments and the CSOs to address the problems and challenges faced by tribal communities in the priority regions. We work in close collaboration with state governments that provide support for the successful execution of various government programs and schemes like Pradhan Mantri Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Prime Minister’s Soil Health Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
Each project supported by BRLF is an attempt to leverage the vast resources being made available by banks and government for a large number of national as well as state level rural development and livelihood programmes/schemes. We have signed Memorandums of Understanding(MoUs) with state governments of Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha and West Bengal and have set up state and district level review mechanisms for these projects.
These states have also extended their support to BRLF funded projects to leverage from various government programmes and schemes. States of Rajasthan and Jharkhand have additionally shown keen interest in working on research agendas with BRLF.
For instance, BRLF has forged successful partnerships with the Governments of West Bengal for watershed and springshed rejuvenation projects, Govt. of Odisha to ensure the implementation of agriculture production clusters and Govt. of Chhattisgarh for implementing watershed projects since 2018.
