PARTNERS IN CHANGE

Joining hands with the states and the central governments

We work in partnership

BRLF was primarily established to leverage a new model of cooperation between the state governments and the CSOs to address the problems and challenges faced by tribal communities in the priority regions. We work in close collaboration with state governments that provide support for the successful execution of various government programs and schemes like Pradhan Mantri Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Prime Minister’s Soil Health Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana.

In Rajasthan, for instance, such collaborations can lead to initiatives aimed at boosting tourism, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the overall socio-economic landscape of the state. Similarly, in Jharkhand, these MoUs may focus on initiatives related to mining, agriculture, and industrial development. In Maharashtra, the partnership may result in projects geared toward urban planning and sustainable development, given the state’s status as a major economic hub. In Odisha, there might be a focus on initiatives related to mineral resources, agriculture, and infrastructure development. West Bengal, with its rich cultural heritage and economic potential, could benefit from collaborative efforts to boost various sectors, including tourism and industry.

These states have also extended their support to BRLF funded projects to leverage from various government programmes and schemes. States of Rajasthan and Jharkhand have additionally shown keen interest in working on research agendas with BRLF.

For instance, BRLF has forged successful partnerships with the Governments of West Bengal for watershed and springshed rejuvenation projects, Govt. of Odisha to ensure the implementation of agriculture production clusters and Govt. of Chhattisgarh for implementing watershed projects since 2018.
