Pramathesh Ambasta has more than three decades of experience in the areas of rural development, livelihoods, entitlement of marginalized communities and watershed management. Besides programme management and implementation, building civil society partnership, capacity building, training and research are his forte. He has worked closely with various Government bodies and consortiums. He has also been the Convener of the National Consortium of CSOs on MGNREGA, working with 72 partners across 76 districts of 12 states of India. Several articles written or co-authored by him have been published in major journals and newspapers of India.
Sharad Bhargava is a finance management professional with around 35 years of experience, including over fifteen years in the development sector. His technical strengths include financial management, budgetary controls, donor coordination, treasury management, statutory compliance, assurance and audits. In the current role, as Chief Operating Officer (Finance) with BRLF, he is responsible for financial planning and management of operations, grantee management, governance and assurance at BRLF. He holds master’s degree in financial management is a qualified Company Secretary.
Kuldip Singh has done his master’s in social work and has more than twenty years of diverse experience in development sector. He has been associated with many grassroots organizations and has substantial experience in managing projects supported by national and international agencies. His area of expertise is management of grassroots projects, resource mobilization, financial management, human resources management and team building. He has previously worked with Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, as a team leader of the Rajasthan natural resources management project. He is also a founding member of Gram Gaurav, an NGO based in Rajasthan.
Trained in Social Work from Osmania University, and subsequently in Management of NGOs from the London School of Economics, Sreenivas Rao Dakshinadi, has gained over thirty years of experience with the NGO sector in India. After an initial grounding of three years at the grassroots, Rao moved on to work with Catholic Health Association of India for a decade, promoting a rights-based approach to health care and later on with CARE India, Plan International and lastly with HLFPPT, a Trust promoted by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI for about a decade. Over the years he has gained expertise in program management, grant management, partnership management and business development.
Sayantani Satpathi is a mixed method researcher, who works on a wide range of policy issues. Prior to joining BRLF, Sayantani served as the Impact Assessment Director for Going to School and Senior Research Associate for Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy. Sayantani was a Doctoral student in Public Policy in the University of Oklahoma, United States. During her graduate studies in University of Oklahoma and Kent State University- United States, she worked as a researcher in projects funded by US federal and state agencies
Dr. Sumit Roy has been working in the field of Rural Development for over two decades and have expertise in DBMS-MIS, GIS planning & mapping, groundwater & meteorological investigation with M&E etc. He has completed masters in Geography from Calcutta University and Doctorate in Watershed Management on Decision Support System from Viswa Bharati, Santinekatan in West Bengal. He has worked on various agriculture development (farm & non-farm based) projects with tribal community through sustainable CBOs development.
Ramesh Semwal has completed his Master of Science (Ecology and Environment) and Post-Graduation in Rural Development. He has around fifteen years of experience in development sector. His areas of expertise are micro-entrepreneurship development, grant management, resource mobilization, team management, partnership management and M&E of the development programs. Prior to joining BRLF, he served for Tata Sustainability Group as Program Manager.
Arvind Kumar has completed his master’s degree in Agriculture System Management from IIT Kharagpur. He brings with him more than thirteen years of rich and dynamic experience in rural livelihoods. His key expertise lies in management of livelihood programs in rural areas, NRM related works; planning, execution, monitoring of the programs, managing & implementing soil & water conservation works, horticulture and agricultural activities at field with active participation of the community. Prior to joining BRLF, he has successfully worked with IIEC and SRIJAN.
Sarvesh Kumar has around fourteen year of experience in the development sector. He holds master’s degree in computer science from NIT- Allahabad and Certificate course in Livelihood and markets from STFX University, Canada. Backed by his experience of working with national and International organisations, Sarvesh is proficient in strategic grassroots program planning, monitoring, evaluation and team management. Prior to joining BRLF, he has worked with Technoserve to develop livelihood models for primitive tribes in Kenya for USAID. Through his association with SRIJAN, he has implemented and managed several livelihood projects in order to develop sustainable value chain for rural women.
Diksha Satyawali has around six years of experience in the rural development sector. Before joining BRLF she has worked with SRIJAN and Rajasthan State Rural Livelihood Mission. She has completed her graduation from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, in Computer Engineering after which she moved to the development sector to follow her passion.
As a development professional, Supriya has an overall experience of six years. She is a commerce graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management with specialization in Development Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. Prior to BRLF, she has worked with Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society. Her key skills are project management, mobilization and team handling. She has interest in working for youth and women for their overall development.
Belal Ahmad having more than five years of experience in the sector with master’s degree in Social Work from NIT- Allahabad comes with a diverse experience of working with national and international organizations. Prior to BRLF, Belal was associated with SRIJAN and Village Invest where he has worked with tribal communities for their livelihood enhancement, capacity building, farm and non- farm intervention, establishing microfinance institution, value chain and entitlements.
Vijay Pratap has completed his bachelor’s in social work from Jamia Millia Islamia and master’s in social work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati (Assam). Prior to joining BRLF, he has worked with Magic Bus India Foundation wherein he gained knowledge in standardized monitoring process and dealing with government officials. As a Facilitator with BRLF, he has stayed along with student of Certificate Programme in Rural Livelihoods (CPRL) and greatly mentored them throughout the course.
Arghadeep is a development researcher interested in identifying mechanisms to improve government service delivery. Prior to joining BRLF, Arghadeep has worked with research organizations like Catalyst Management Services and J-PAL South Asia in research and policy positions. He brings in the experience of collaborating with governments, funding organizations, corporate foundations as well as grassroots NGOs. Arghadeep holds master’s degree in development from the Azim Premji University.
Subhodeep has completed MSc. Economics from Symbiosis School of Economic with specialization in Development Studies. He has interned with School of Conflict and Security Studies of National Institute of Advance Studies (IISc) and Goeman Bind HTO. After completing post-graduation, he joined Ernst & Young as Analyst. But his personal drive in research and inclination towards working in social sector led him to take up the opportunity in Research vertical of BRLF.
Sushil Pal has more than fourteen years of qualitative experience in managing various aspects of Accounts & Finance functions with number of reputed national and international organizations. He holds an MBA degree with specialization in finance. The functions undertaken by him at BRLF include, but are not limited to, annual audit, statutory compliances, MIS, budget preparation and finalization of accounts up to the Balance Sheet. He has previously worked with CIMMYT and WWF-India.
Amit Shukla has completed his master’s degree in finance and Post Graduate diploma in NGO Management from Annamalai University. He has around a decade of experience in working with various development sector organisation including American India Foundation, ASK India, IGSS and Katha. He got expertise in handling income Tax, budgeting, Donor Management & reporting, Grant Management etc.
Pratibha Aswal is a highly competent professional with a proven track record of working in HR and administration field for more than a decade. Prior to joining BRLF, she has worked with organisations like PRADAN, Solidaridad, Project Concern International. She holds a master’s degree in finance and Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Ravi Prakash is a highly motivated professional who is competent at multi-tasking with around a decade of experience in office administration. He is associated with BRLF since its inception. Ravi has significant experience of working with Government of India at Planning Commission. He has completed his bachelor’s degree in Science from RML Awadh University, Faizabad.
Paulus is an extremely energetic person who performs all day-to-day office tasks to the highest standards. He is associated with BRLF since 2014. He is always keen to learn new things and performs all his duties with smile on his face.
