The project aspires to enhance the income of 100,000 small and marginal farmers on a sustainable basis. A consortium of 13 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are facilitating land and water treatment measures covering 694,500 hectares of catchments across three zones, of 12 districts in the state of Chhattisgarh and improve the cropping intensity in about 350,000 hectares of land.
Livelihoods of approximately 5 lakh households will be positively impacted by these treatments. A total of 1388 micro-watersheds are expected to be treated under the project.
